Drummond Golf & Big Swing Birthday Celebrations
March 2020
Filippa attended the Big Birthday Bash celebrations. A milestone for Drummond Golf/Big Swing as they celebrated 38 years at Kew Junction. Filippa was invited to provide attendees with free movement golf swing assessments. Filippa says, ‘Correct posture and supported movement especially during the golf swing action is essential for golf longevity. Repetitive actions at such high speeds must be controlled throughout the entire movement’. Filippa assisted with golf video swing checks and general movement analysis.
During the celebrations, Filippa meet two impressive young women Meg and Anne Lanning. Both women are members of the current Women’s Australian Cricket team. Meg Lanning captained the Australian team to win the International Cricket Council Women's T20 World Cup 2020 final, only a few weeks earlier. This is a link to a montage of their epic win - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Aux-Mx7LNQ
Filippa provided both girls with some posture and golf swing tips. In the photo below, Filippa demonstrated the neutral postural position using a golf club aligned against Anne’s spine.
Filippa discussed movement mechanics with Cameron Munster, an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a five-eighth, fullback or centre for the Melbourne Storm in the NRL and Australia at international level. Arguably the best player today.
